COVID Update

During these unprecedented times, we are working hard to continue delivering our essential services to you.

Our office hours have been reduced until further notice. Please note that our office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, except Statutory Holidays.

To ensure the safety of our clients, visitors, and staff, our firm has adopted the following changes:

  • Ensuring adherence to all Alberta Health recommendations, which are printed off and posted to our front door for easy reference;
  • Increased frequency of regularly scheduled professional cleaning services including office sanitization;
  • All staff have been advised that if necessary they should self-isolate with our full support. No staff who are showing any signs of illness are permitted to attend at the office;
  • At least one lawyer and half the other staff members will be in the office each business day, while all other staff are working remotely, rotating in and out of the office on a regular basis;
  • Social distancing protocols have been adopted within the office;
  • All documents are being provided to clients via email for review and discussion with one of our lawyers prior to meeting for signing of documents. Clients will be asked to scan and email ID documents to our office;
  • Clients are required to confirm that they have not been in recent contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID 19 and that they are not themselves exhibiting any symptoms related to COVID 19 before coming in for any appointments;
  • Video conferencing for execution of documents is now permitted, subject to a strict process. Where any clients are showing signs of infection or are in self-isolation, we will arrange for execution of documents via video conference;
  • We encourage all funds to be provided to our office via electronic methods; and
  • When attending at our office clients can expect:
    • That all surfaces have been sanitized prior to and after their meeting;
    • To be offered hand sanitizer to use;
    • Client ID will be photographed and compared to the ID earlier provided;
    • Lawyers will wash their hands immediately prior to the meeting; and
    • The meeting will comply with all social distancing protocols.

We are working hard to help our clients through this difficult time. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Lindsay Rydl or Cass Lintott directly.
